Types of commissions available on AffiliationSoftware

With AffiliationSoftware you can set up different types of commissions for each ad campaign and reward affiliates based on the actions they refer. The marketing plan of an affiliate program is based on performance marketing, which means on the results you really achieve!

Types of commissions


Sale (CPS o Pay per Sale)

It is one of the most well-known and used commissions for affiliate marketing. This type of commission is related to the sale of a product or a service. If a sale has been referred by an affiliate’s promotion, he earns a sales commission (requires tracking integration).

Lead (CPL o Pay per Lead)

This type of commission is related to the acquisition of a user, or more generally, to filling out a form on your website. If the subscription has been referred by an affiliate’s promotion, he earns a lead commission (requires tracking integration).

Action (CPA o Pay per Action)

This type of commission can be related to any action you want to achieve on your website. If this action has been referred by an affiliate’s promotion, he earns an action commission (requires tracking integration).

Click (CPC o Pay per Click)

Click commissions are used to pay for clicks received on an affiliate’s banners and links, so they are related to a new visitor who, by clicking the ad, enter on your website. Impressions (CPV o CPM)

Impressions commissions are used to pay for the views received an on affiliate’s banners. AffiliationSoftware automatically recognizes unique impressions from duplicate ones, and assigns commissions only for unique impressions (plugin required).

Referrals (sub-affiliates)

This type of commission rewards an affiliate when he brings a new affiliate that signs up to the affiliate program. This new affiliate automatically becomes his sub-affiliate, and, if the multilevel system is enabled, he will earn 2nd tier commissions based on all the results their sub-affiliates will achieve.

Multilevel commissions

If enabled, multilevel generates upline commissions. This means when an affiliate refers an action, he receive a 1st tier commission, while the sponsor automatically receives a 2nd tier commission, and so on. AffiliationSoftware supports multilevel commissions with up to 10 levels of depth.

Recurring commissions

Recurring commissions are intended for those who sell monthly services or subscriptions. Thanks to the recurring commissions, after a certain period of time (7 days, 1 month, 3 months…), you can automatically register the subsequent commissions (plugin required)

Advanced commissions

These are 3 types of commissions that reward affiliates for specific actions: “Install” (CPI) when installing a desktop or mobile app, “Player” (CPP) when a player reaches a specific goal and “Click-Out” when clicking a link lead to an external site (plugin required)

Signup Bonus

This is the initial bonus that is automatically assigned to the new affiliates at the time they register to the affiliate program. This commission is very useful as an incentive to motivate users to sign up with your affiliate program.

Commissions segments

The commissions segments allows you to set multiple commissions in a single campaign. You can assign higher or lower commissions to specific affiliates, or force the system to track commissions of the selected segment for certain products.
